Create a Student Account

To create a student account, students will need a class join code from their teacher. Students who have accounts on NextLesson will be able to participate in InterestID and complete interactive lessons online, allowing them access to various supports they do not have access to on paper. 

To create a student account on NextLesson, go to, click Sign Up, and then select Student. Depending on how you would like to set up the account, follow the steps below.

Tip: If your students are able, they can create their own accounts to help save you time.


  1. Click Sign up with Google
  2. Input Join Code
  3. Click Complete Google Sign Up
  4. Sign in to Google (if you are already signed in to Google, skip this step)
  5. Click Allow to authorize NextLesson to view basic account information


  1. Click Sign Up with Username
  2. Input Join Code
  3. Input First Name and Last Name
  4. Choose your username and password
  5. Confirm password
  6. Click Complete Sign Up

That's it. Once you have gone through the steps above, the student account is created, and they will be added to whichever class you shared the Join Code for in Class Manager.
