At NextLesson we take student privacy very seriously. Below are a few of the many ways we protect your students. For additional details, please review our privacy policy.
Joining NextLesson
To create an account with NextLesson, students are required to seek parent or school consent through the form of a join code. Without the join code, students will be unable to complete the sign-up process. As a parent or school, you are provided with join codes for your children or students within the Class Manager tool.
In addition, we do not require students to provide an email address to sign up for the service. Email addresses, if provided by students, will be used for the sole purpose of resetting passwords upon request.
Information Collected
Our policy is to not collect more personal information from students than is necessary to provide the service. To create an account and access NextLesson, students need only provide the following information:
- first name
- last name
- user name
- password
- valid join code
As students interact with the service, we may also prompt them for the following information: color preferences, performance, interests, and grade.
Reviewing or Deleting Student Details
Parents can request to review the personal information that we have collected about your student, request deletion of that information, or request that we cease collecting additional information about your student by contacting support@scholarus.com. For the security of your student, NextLesson will go through a process to verify your identification before releasing or deleting information.
